Audio and video go hand and hand.

I got my Internet finally hooked up at home today. Now my world is back in motion. And that is all I am going to say about that.

So where do we go from here. The format for my Internet enabled blog/vidcast is this. Blog for the content, vidcast for the packaging. That is I’ll post frequently on the blog in all mighty blog glory and pull from that to do the longer format stuff. Just like a newsroom doing the right thing with the web, this will not be mirrored content. Instead both will benefit from their strengths. The blog a conversation started by my posts. And the video a broadcast message summarizing the previous conversation.

I’ll post later today the first of many topics. But first my awards speech:

Thanks to Colin Mulvany (my boss) for pushing this idea forward. I’ve wanted to do this for a while and lack of Internet aside all I was lacking was a little push. Colin, maybe unintentionally, has gave me a kick. His Mastering Multimedia Blog is a healthy perspective on multimedia in a sea of layered web babel. And there’s the kick. How can you not want to get your blog up and running after weeks of this guy working up a storm on his own blog right behind you.

So with a reluctant/relieving/appreciation, thanks Colin.
